Every evening hundreds of Jackdaws swoop around our house and land on the oak trees in the woods. One will call, and together they will fly off. The sound of their wings, the way they fly in their hundreds as one is a magical spectacle. One morning, I came out of my house to see this one jackdaw sitting in the Rowan tree. It’s bright blue eyes watching me. Did you know that both Rowan and Jackdaws are know in folklore and myth as protectors?
Printed using Cranfield oil based inks on Somerset archival printmaking paper. Printed in a dark grey with a purple tint using a blend of inks. Each print is unique as each one is handprinted by me. This means that there may be small variations.
